The internship position will create a genuine and significant opportunity for a northern Ontario youth to launch his/her career.  The intern will assist in the day-to-day operations and activities of the Community Development Committee (CDC) under the supervision of the Economic Development Officer. The employee will assist the committee to achieve the results, based on the objectives set by the CDC.

Job Description:

-Prepare promotional material;

-Assist in the research of new markets & opportunities;

-Contact and follow up on leads;

-Setup and coordinate meetings;

-Support staff and CDC in assigned projects and activities;

-Prepare and present oral and written briefs

-Update and maintain Website and Social Media content

- Assist EDO in the process of grant applications

Qualifications:

All thought not required, preference will be given to a University or college graduate who has graduated within the last three years from an accredited college or university. The candidate must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program. The position will be a first full-time employment in the candidate’s field of study.
