Registered Practical Nurse

Location: 101 Progress Crescent, Kapuskasing, ON P5N 3H5

Job Type: Full-time positions in the acute care department. Day and evening schedules.

 

Compensation: Salary aligns with the SEIU Collective Agreement and ranges from $36.36 to $37.05 per hour. $15,000 RETURN OF SERVICE

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.

 

Key Responsibilities

·         Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.

·         Monitor and assess patients' conditions, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.

·         Provide wound care, catheter care, and other nursing procedures.

·         Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.

·         Document patient care and progress accurately and timely.

·         Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.

·         Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care                plans.

·         Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.


Qualifications

·         Valid certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario or willing to                     transfer.

·         Relevant nursing experience in a clinical setting.

·         Strong clinical skills and a thorough understanding of nursing principles and practices.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

·         Compassionate and empathetic with a patient-centered approach.

·         Proficiency in both English and French is required.
