A successful candidate will be a creative, skilled communicator, with excellent organizational and multitasking skills, and familiar with Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
Work is varied and encompasses all aspects of planning and executing chamber events, creating promotional materials, and collaborating with chamber staff to develop marketing and outreach initiatives.
This position is open only to students who are currently enrolled in a college or university program. This is an 8-week position that can start any time after June 3rd. This is a fast-paced, enriching learning experience that offers students the chance to develop high-level workplace skills while helping the local community and connecting with local businesses.
Event Planning and Execution:
- Assist in planning and executing a variety of chamber events including networking mixers, workshops and community programs
- Coordinate logistics manage event timelines and ensure a seamless experience for attendee
Membership Engagement:
- Collaborate with membership team to identify strategies for increasing chamber membership
- Assist in developing and implementing outreach initiatives to attract new members and retain existing ones.
Marketing and Promotion:
- Contribute to the creation of promotional materials for membership campaigns
- Utilize social media and other channels to enhance visibility and engagement.
Data Analysis:
- Compile and analyze data related to event attendance, membership, growth and engagement
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve future initiatives
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with social media platforms
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
