Salary ranges from $37.01 to $49.65 per hour

Key Responsibilities

·         Safely and accurately produces images of diagnostic quality.

·         Responsible for the care and safety of patients in the department at all times (includes radiation protection).

·         Understands and participates in departmental quality improvement, utilization and risk management activities as directed by Manager, Diagnostic Imaging.

·         Must be able to file, locate and properly route all patient imaging files, either the file of using Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) technology.

·         Must be able to book and prioritize all diagnostic imaging examinations and appointments.

·         Utilizes departmental computer system to create and process diagnostic imaging requests, and create technical obstetrical ultrasound reports.

·         Participates as required in Department Contract Medial, IV Therapy Program.

·         Maintains strict confidentiality of all patient information.

Qualifications

·         Must have completed a Medical Radiation Technologist Program and successfully pass the CAMRT certification exam.

·         Must maintain current membership registration with The Ontario College of Medical Radiation Technologists.

·         Membership through the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologist is mandatory.

·         Mus be able to work established schedule to cover requirements including standby, evening and statutory holidays.

·         Must have the ability to provide services in French and English.
